Mark Ziemer is the Owner and President of Home Carefree & Pro Temps Medical Staffing. He has been in business since 1986 prior to moving to Asheville. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin. He has been a "southerner" for over 35 years! He worked as a CPA until going into business for himself. He enjoys hiking, football, basketball, baseball and anything sports related.
Paula Ziemer, BSN, RN-BC is the wife of Mark Ziemer. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Western Carolina University. Before working with her husband she worked in Trauma Care Step-Down at Mission Hospitals. She also worked in the Staffing Pool at Mission. In additional to her full time position, she worked with staffing agencies and gained knowledge of local long term care facilities. She was the Director of a major Home Care Company, a Medicare Unit Manager in long term care, a Director of Nursing in long term care and the Assisted Living Manager for a Continuing Care Retirement Community in Asheville. She worked as a RN Care Manager until marrying Mark and coming to help run the business.
Between the two, they have 4 sons and 2 daughters. One son and one daughter work in the family business. They have 2 sons in college and one son in the United States Air Force.
Payroll & Billing Coordinator:
Lauren has been with the company since 2013. Originally from Sylva, NC; she and her husband moved to South Asheville with their “fur babies” in hopes to soak up that southern hospitality vibe Asheville has to offer. Each week she oversees all documentation from our caregivers and verifies that all time reported as worked is accurate and honest. She processes over 120 records per week to ensure our employees are paid correctly and on time. By doing this, she knows when she sends out an invoice that it is legitimate and no falsification of time worked is being billed to our clients. We call Lauren our little "Detective". She knows just how important it is to our clients and our company's reputation that we are ethical and honest. Outside of work she enjoys anything sun and water related! You’ll find her floating on the French Broad in the summertime or boating with Mark & Paula.
Office Manager & Staffing Coordinator
Diane joined our team in 2014 bringing a great no-nonsense approach to problem solving. She ensures the office runs smoothly and is focused on quality care and relationships with our clients.
Diane’s previous experience with staffing, recruiting, human resources, customer service, and payroll includes 5 years as a branch manager of a light industrial, clerical and managerial staffing agency.
The importance of recruiting and retaining talent and then maximizing the utilization of that staff to the best of their abilities, has been key in many previous roles held by Diane over the years.
Diane lives with her husband, hound dogs and cat in rural Hendersonville and enjoys exploring nature and traveling.
Information Technology/Payroll and Receivables:
Troy is Mark's oldest son, and he is an integral part of our team. He is our IT professional and keeps our computers, phones, and security systems running smoothly. He is our database expert and electronic medical record administrator.
Troy enjoys his motorcycle, creating software programs and gaming.
